Vancouver Convention Centre West
1055 Canada Place
Vancouver, BC V6C 0C3
Located on Vancouver’s downtown waterfront with a dramatic mountain backdrop, the world’s first double LEED® Platinum certified convention centre offers one of the most beautiful settings in the world. The award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre features two connected buildings, East and West, with a combined total of 466,500 ft2 (43,340 m2) of flexible meeting, exhibition, ballroom and plenary space.
As a port city, and as one of the largest cities in Canada, Vancouver is accessible by land, air, sea, and rail. The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is ranked as one of the top airports in the world, and is located approximately 14km away from the Vancouver Convention Centre.
There are many ways to get around Vancouver on the water, including the SeaBus which connects downtown to the mountainous North Shore. You can also take the ferry from Victoria and Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.
TransLink provides city transit for tourists and residents seven days a week via buses through its rapid transit system, SkyTrain. With the opening of the Canada Line, the SkyTrain’s newest line, travel between the Waterfront Station (2-minute walk from the Vancouver Convention Centre) and Vancouver International Airport has been significantly reduced to 26 minutes per one-way SkyTrain trip. This allows for a more convenient trip for international travelers to and from downtown Vancouver.
