Capilano University Climate change mitigation, Capilano University’s top environmental priority, is supported by Board Policies for energy and sustainability, and Provincial legislation. CapU participates in the Carbon Neutral Government Program, reporting on GHG emissions from building and fleet energy, fugitive gases and paper use. We off-set reported emissions annually and have been carbon neutral since 2010. Our energy management program, through conservation and efficiency, reduced our absolute GHG emission by 50% in 2015. Ecocity Builders | Booth # 16 Ecocity Builders is a California nonprofit providing advocacy, consulting, and education in sustainable city planning and development. We are the keepers of the Ecocity World Summit conference series, where since 1990, the ecocity movement has gathered every other year. We oversee the Ecocity Framework and Standards, the guide to charting a city's journey from existing conditions to ecocity futures. Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) The Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) evolved from a voluntary initiative of a handful of dedicated wastewater treatment plant Operators in 1966. The EOCP was the first such organization in Canada, and now oversees the classification of thousands of water and wastewater facilities and systems, and the certification of more than 4,500 Operators, to enable the prudent management of water and wastewater across British Columbia and Yukon for more than 4.2 million people. Stream Of Dreams Murals Society - Fish on Fences Stream of Dreams delivers award-winning Fish on Fences environmental education and community art programs that teach schoolchildren about local watersheds. Curriculum is tailored to each school’s waterways with grade-appropriate presentations and materials. The program encourages behaviour change to conserve and protect water by empowering youth and families to become environmental stewards.
