CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

The Ecocity World Summit is delighted to open call for volunteers at the Ecocity World Summit (#Ecocity2019) in Vancouver, Canada, on October 7 - 11, 2019.

To make Ecocity 2019 a great success, we depend on local assistance from approximately 25 to 30 local volunteers (based in greater Vancouver area) with good English language skills. Volunteering is a great learning experience, and an opportunity to network, and to acquire insight into the operations of an international summit.

Volunteers for Ecocity 2019 are the first contact for many of the attendees. Their critical role is to welcome foreign participants and to foster a spirit of helpfulness and hospitality.

In return for volunteer services, Ecocity 2019 gladly offers the following benefits:

• Complimentary food & beverage during volunteer shifts
• A certificate of participation
• Complimentary registration when a minimum of 2 shifts of 8 hours are confirmed throughout the Summit

Upon confirmation of local volunteers, a volunteer training manual will be provided to each individual. The volunteer manual outlines all the responsibilities associated with their assigned roles and their scheduled volunteer shifts during the Summit. We will also conduct one on-site training session before the start of the Summit to ensure all volunteers are confident with the facility and their important role in the success of Ecocity 2019.
