ECOCITY 2019 YVR PUBLIC TOUR

YVR opened its doors in 1931 with a single runway and a small wooden building. Since then, it has become a global hub, welcoming people to Vancouver and easing access from Asia to the Americas. As we continue to facilitate growing connectivity, we are committed to environmental excellence and embedding environmental sustainability into YVR’s activities and corporate culture.

In this tour, take a stroll through the main terminal with a YVR employee and learn about our innovative environmental programs in areas including waste & recycling, green transportation at the airport and our newly launched Project Green YVR which harnesses the power of our business partners to tackle today’s environmental problems.

This tour is offered in support of the Ecocity World Summit, being held in Vancouver from October 7 to 11, 2019 and is open to the public at no charge. The Ecocity World Summit is the longest-standing international Summit that addresses building cities in balance with nature.
